Land Acknowledgement.
With reverence I reside on the unceded Lenapehoking - the land of the Lenape. My work is ongoing as I seek to not only acknowledge the original caretakers of this land and the injustice of colonization, but also to take action where action can do good. I commit to supporting indigenous people in my home state and beyond by:
Donating to the Lenape Center on a recurring monthly basis
Seeking out petitions and ways I can advocate for indigenous land reparations
Staying mindful of cultural appropriation through my words, actions and spending habits
Frequently revising, improving, and strengthening this action plan as I continue to conduct research and receive feedback from people in my community
I invite you to step beyond land acknowledgement and support indigenous communities in practical ways. Looking for inspiration? Please visit and consider supporting the Native Governance Center, an organization that I found to be informative and provides incredible resources for all.
